Was glad of your summarized details and explanation of each ingredients function and proportion to use. This is especially helpful for ad hoc bakers who bakes for hubby and family when free. I am unable to pinpoint the reason without baking with you, but it can due to insufficient mixing and baking temperature too low. You can pay attention to these two factors the next time you bake the butter cake.
